We’re preparing the OWL Shop, which will bring together official OpenWeedLocator hardware, accessories, and supporting components in one place.
While the shop is not yet live, you can register your interest to receive updates on availability and future releases. And of course, check out the Documentation or Tutorials for info on building and programming your own.

The OWL 3.0
The OWL 3.0 is a real-time weed detector
It includes Green-on-Brown detection out of the box, meaning it can be used to spot-spray anything green – ideal for fallow/interrow.
The OWL 3.0 features:
- Custom carrier board + Pi CM5
- CE-certified aluminium enclosure with integrated heat sink
- IMX296 global-shutter camera
- Industrial connectors + cabling
- Ready-to-use GoB detection, no training required
- Full hardware + source access
The cost for an OWL is 870 EUR (excl. VAT) — approx. 1,015 USD / 1,425 AUD
Optional: To run Green-on-Green (in-crop weed detection models) you’ll likely need additional AI compute power that provides compute headroom for real time use of trained models. It adds 270 EUR excl. VAT (approx. 315 USD / 440 AUD) per device.
The OWL Kit
The OWL Kit is designed to make the OWL ready to install from day one. It is tailored to your need and setup, whether that is a single OWL or a 12 meter spraying boom.
The kit contains:
- Power Box and cabling for power management
- Stainless steel mount for fixating the OWL to your spraying device with vertical, horizontal, and angular adjustment functionality
- Networking incl. router and antenna as well as switches and ethernet cables for increased reliability in larger systems
- Terminal to control multiple OWLs from a single, easy-to-use interface

Both the OWL 3.0 and Kit are ready for production. We are doing the very first batch soon with expected delivery during December 2026.
The people joining our very first production run will get exclusive support, consulting and the ability to influence design and features in the next iterations of the product.

OWL Driver Boards
You can purchase the OWL Driver Board through Paradar (UK).
Boards come in 4- or 16-output variants, providing power management, switched outputs and an output enable feature. The boards accept 7-26 VDC, converting it into 5 V for the Raspberry Pi.
